Front-end Web Designer/Developer Required

We would like to add a Front-end Web Designer/Developer to our team, full job details below. This position is intended to be a full-time position but may suit a freelance developer who is currently committed to spending a certain amount of their time with existing clients.

Ideally, the successful candidate would be based at our office in Navan Enterprise Centre but the possibility of working remotely would be an option for the right candidate.

Front End Web Designer - Ref: CS12-WDIRL

We are looking for a web designer with creative flair to join our team at our Navan Enterprise Centre office, Trim Road, Navan, Co. Meath.

You will have excellent Photoshop and design skills with an understanding of xHTML and CSS and how web technologies and developments affect front end design. Knowledge of Flash/Actionscript/Illustrator/JavaScript/other web technologies would be advantageous.

We want someone that can hit the ground running - you will have an outstanding design portfolio, at least 1 year's commercial experience in a similar environment, excellent time-management skills and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest developments in web design.

A part-time role may be possible for candidates who currently have ongoing part-time commitments to existing clients.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have proven experience in web design and at least 1 year's experience in a commercial environment
  • Have excellent Photoshop skills and a proven track record of creating modern and stylish concept designs
  • Have an excellent eye for design/colour/typography and new design ideas
  • An interest and enthusiasm in learning and creating great looking modern websites
  • Strong xHTML coding and CSS skills
  • PHP is advantageous, but not essential
  • Enjoy working on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Be able to manage their own time and maintain deadlines
